Eurosport Coverage ?

from what their online TV listings show...they don't even show US Open Tennis "Live"! (only highlights for about 2hours)...so I guess for pool it gets even less attention ...plus who knows what the viewership was like for the last IPT event.

I guess we're long away from much coverage...but I can say this much..once a lot of Taiwanese players get into IPT (or win it) there will definitely be a lot of coverage here in Asia for upcoming IPT events.(which all pool fans will get access through DC+ etc)

Taiwan promotes pool much more on Taiwan media as compared to The Philippines. So even though having that many Pinoy players in it...it will get them more press coverage locally only...not on TV.

so the header after this event must be.."Wu Won!")

If you go to this thread at pro9.co.uk, you'll see a reply to an e-mail that Big Dave Knight sent to Eurosport explaining that while they cannot show it live, they will be showing delayed coverage the following week, once the tennis is out the way.

Better than nothing, eh?

Here in the UK, snooker is still the favorite cue sport, but it is now having less and less sponsors, so less and less tournaments. That makes more and more snooker players want to play in pool. If Eurosports will show live IPT tour, sooner or later it will attract more viewers, then snooker will be doomed and UK does'nt want that to happen, so expect less coverage of IPT. JMHO
