I was hoping to visit my cousin in Paris (or what's left of it) sometime next spring. I'll probably be staying for a minimum of two weeks. My questions is -- does anybody know what the pool scene is like in Europe? From what I can tell, Paris is pretty much dead center and close (by U.S. standards) to Munich, Amsterdam, London, and maybe Eastern Spain. So when i'm over there, I would like to get the most amount of action possible. I've heard that many of the large cities in Europe have "opens" i.e. the Paris Open, London Open. I'm just an average player, but I see this as an excellent opportunity to check out some European pool. So I'm wondering what tournaments are recommended, and also what the optimal time frame would be. Any input is greatly appreciated.
