Yes, once, in a club in England. Seemed like it was very easy and not really like shooting actual Pool due to the very small size like a toy. As the article states these were designed to amuse pub customers whilst taking up a lot less space than a real Billiards table of any kind.

Any particular reason you ask?

Yes....lol....brings back some amusing memories of me and several friends in a pub (after a few too many) trying to figure out what the heck the rules were.....lol

Its not like playing any other game of pool at all, as mentioned its called "Bar Billiards" and was created to go into pub to take up less room than a pool table.

They are not so popular anymore although you do see a fair few still in dark dusty corners of the older pubs...although the last place I saw one was on my honeymoon cruise to Alaska last year....lol....good old NCL.

For you information and others who may be interested this is a link to what an English Pool table is like

http://www.mercuryleisure.co.uk/traditional-pool-tables.html

Its a 6 foot table (Except for TV where they use a 7 foot) with smaller balls and tighter pockets its a much more tatical game.....

Some of the best English pool players in the world have been selected for the IPT Darren Appleton, Carl Morris and Mick Hill.....expect them to be dark horses to all you americans....they should ALL be very very tough to beat.

I had an Uncle tell me about what you speak of, a long time ago. I thought he was full of BS.

Thanks for the link. You helped me bring back some memories, and to find out that my uncle wasn't full of bunk.
