Since there's always talk about "Color of Money" around here.....

Ever run into a "Vincent"-type in a pool hall......someone who plays so damn good, it makes you stand there in awe.....?

I play in a BCA league here in Billings, MT.....lots of great players around here, although most seem to have some weaknesses or flaws....might be 2 or 3 standouts.....but only once have I run across a "Vincent"-type, wasn't even here in MT:

It was in Rapid City, SD......just out casually shooting pool one evening.....some guy in his mid-20's came up & asked if I wanted to play for $1.00/game. I said "sure".....proceeded to get my ass handed to me in 10 games straight (it didn't help that I had 4 or 5 beers in me). I could tell this guy didn't trust me.....like I was trying to bait him or hustle him. I guess I wouldn't classify him as world-class, but he was damn good & made an impression on me.

He played perfect position, never (or rarely) missed a shot. Inspired me to play better though!

Back in the late '70s, in Baton Rouge, LA I used to play this red haired 17-year old kid that gave me fits. He would run out from everywhere. His name was Jamie Farrell.
