Ever see this type cue ball in an old match of Lassiter and Crane. It seems to have dimples like a golf ball on top. May have to enlarge pic.

That is a blue dot cue ball that is showing the reflection of the overhead lights. The same pattern can be observed on the 10 ball.

The blue dot was the straight pool players ball..a little heavier to break
the pack.

The red dot was favored by 9-ballers...a little lighter and more lively.

The green dot was of much lighter composition...you could draw max...
