Fellow 'cue addict' Matt just got this masterpiece from Bill up at the DCC....three piece ivory handle....well over 300 inlays.

a real masterpiece

Hi, Sean.

I bought Matt's McDaniel that was identical to this one, but had the lizard wrap. As soon as I saw it, I thought it was an absolute masterpiece, and it plays great too, but this cue is unbelieveable. Incidentally, I had been speaking to Bill McDaniel the day before he shipped this cue to Matt and when he told me he had built it, I knew it must have been an extraordinary piece of work. Matt is one lucky guy to have the pleasure of owning a cue like that. Do you think he will play with it?

Best wishes,
Ryan

nifty bit of workmanship.

i've never been a fan of the ebony/ivory combination, though. the black and white of it is a little too spartan for me. i think adding silver to the mix softens the look for the better. i like the teeny dots in the center of the diamonds,,,,,nice touch

Ryan,

Glad you like the other McD you got from Matt...it's awesome. I would put the work that's in these two ivory pointed cues up against ANYTHING that's out there. Don't know if he plans to play any with it, but I'm sure it would hit well. The weight is up there, but most are very heavy with ivory handles. Don't know if I've ever seen one below 20oz.

Take care and enjoy your cue !!

Sean,
What price range would a McDaniel cue like this sell for? It's a beautiful cue, but if I owned it i'd be afraid to play with it for fear that something might happen to it! I saw pictures of Ryan's McDaniel and it's nothing to sneeze at either.

Probably at least in the $12,000-$15,000 range. Any ivory handled cue is that now.
