I have been doing some research and have read up on Tonewoods. I was wondering about some of the off the wall requests you cue makers get and would like to hear of the ones you just had to say "I cant bring myself to make it". "I would be scared some one hit with it and thought it was indicative of my work/cues".

Based on my reading on tonewoods and own experiences the wood selection, weight and balance point are all crucial as well as the joint material, shaft wood, ferrulle material, ferrulle length, tenon size & tip concerning playability.

The best analogy I can make to this topic is someone going to Southwest cues and requesting a Stainless Steel joint. They just cant bring themselves to make it!!!!

or

A predator cue with Ivory ferrulle.

or

Tim Scruggs cue and the customer reguests/insists on a screw on tip!!!! HA:eek: HA:eek: HA

Do you just turn them down, Struggle to explain, I need a good giggle and wood love to hear the nightmare cue you made or turned down making.

Thanks
