Everest Cue Tips by Tiger Products

I was just wondering how many of you use Everest Cue Tips.

I am a relatively new user to Everest Cue Tips. They have a 96 rating of hardness and are a laminated tip. If I am not mistaken they are the standard tip used on Predator 314-2 shafts.

I've been using a Predator 314-2 shaft with the stock Everest tip on it for a few months now and I have to say I'm very pleased with everything about the tip (the ability to hold it's shape and the lack of miscuing). The Everest cue tips are little bit under-sung in my opinion but it seems that there are an awful lot of professionals using theTiger Products tips.

How consistent is the quality of their tips as I am thinking about moving over to them exclusively on all of my shafts?

Thanks,

JoeyA

You can't go wrong with the Everest tip !
I put one on after I won the Pittsburgh Open(UPA Event) and won the Player's Championship in Valley Forge 3 weeks later !
Very consistant tip !

I agree I switched all my shafts over to Everest months ago ... I love the fact that they seldom miscue and they get alot of action ... The best tip I have found for me personally ... I love Everest ...I also love Tiger products also ... I have long been a beleiver in White Diamond on my J/B's but I will be trying the Ice Breaker first chance I get simply because it is made by Tiger.

I know Jamison Neu use an Everest on his Dieckman Masse Cue and Playing cue. He have Dave Bollman put them on while visiting in Virginia Beach.
I'm buying a Crown Masse Cue with an Everest Tip on it. After seeing the Punishment Neu did to my Dieckman Masse Cue Tip.

Everest tips

I bought 2 Predator 314-2 shafts at the US Open in October which came with Everest tips. I planned to change them to Sniper tips after I got home, but I wanted to try the shafts out as soon as I could so I thought i'd try the Everest tips at the same time. The Everest tips play so well i'm going to leave them on my predator shafts even though I have some Sniper tips available.

My favorite tip is a Sniper tip, but the Everest tips are so good it wouldn't make sense to take them off to put on a Sniper tip.

I purchased a Predator 314-2 which came with the Everest tip. I liked it quite a lot. Now it is 8 months later and it is time to change. I just put on a new Moori medium. I would say in contrast, here are the differences. Be aware that the Everest was put on by Predator and the Moori was put on by me. I usually burnish the tip pretty well which I think makes it play a little firmer. Here's what I think:

--Moori plays MUCH harder than the Everest. The Everest gave a feeling of give when I hit the ball, whereas the Moori didn't so much.
--Everest produced somewhat more spin. This is not necessarily a good thing. I find the Moori offered a touch more control. I have never used the 314-2/Moori combo, but after a night of shooting, I feel it might result in a more precise feeling of position.
--The Moori is much nicer looking. A well burnished Moori tip looks great. I realize that this doesn't count for much, but maybe a little.

I guess in 8 months I can comment on the differences in longevity. I do know that after you play with a Moori for a week or two that "hard as a rock" feeling goes away, and what you are left with is a very touch sensitive tip.

i use the everest, just like everyone else it came stock with my predator 314-2. I had been using a tiger dynamite and i had to get a replacement shaft minutes before a tournament so I didnt have time to switch to a dynamite.
Im glad i didnt have time to change, Im not the best of giving the pros and cons I just know the everest is really consistent and I make more balls with it

It appears to me that many good players are using these tips and I think the posts so far have convinced me to change out tips on the rest of my shafts, going to the Everest. I appreciate your input. Sometime, you wonder if you are just living in your own little world and that you don't know squat. A consensus of opinion like this is always a great thing to refer to.

We've been putting them on all our cues for probably close to a year now. I've played with Moori's for years previous. I really like these Everest tips. A ton of bang for the buck, if you ask me.

We get the Everest's for 1/10 the price of the Moori's. I'm CERTAIN the Moori isn't 10 times better.

I really can't think of a single instance where we have put one on to find out it was no good. They're really consistent from what I have seen.

Like others, I bought some Predator shafts for my cues and wasn't sure if I would like the Everest tips. But on my second one now - I like the consistency of the tips, good medium-hard feel, minimal shaping required, etc. No reason to try anything else at this point!

I remember I use to always use the Old Lepro tips when I was playing about 20 years ago ... When I started back about a year ago Le pro did not seem to be that good to me anymore ... I tried Kamui and Moori but they seemed to mushroom on me ... I then went to sniper and was happy ... But I ended up buying a cue off Sly he had put a Everest on and I have used nothing else but Everest since then... Jeff Eason was having a fit becuase I could'nt find a tip I liked ... He thought I was happy when I had him install Snipers on all my shafts ... Then he just shook his head when I brought them all back and had him cut off the snipers to put on the Everests ... I imagine he is glad I found a tip I like he seldom changes a tip for me now... The best playing combination I have found to date is a Everest tip and that ferrrell material Mason makes out of Micarta ... That stuff plays lights out ...

Attn: Corey, time to raise the prices!!!! and dont forget my commission.

Just kidding, I like Tiger products better than Moori. I'm not a layered tip guy but If I have to have one I like any of the Tiger products the best.
