We need to stop the excuses....they lost didn't play good and was outplayed...period.

Short races
Winner brakes...blah blah...

There was no chance for errors and USA made too many while Europe played near perfect most matches.

Anyways rant over.

Hopefully USA Will learn from this...but those are some great players and I hope they practice harder train harder and bring the fire next year.

USA....USA...USA!!!

God this forum is saturated with this stuff. Cut the music, this show should be cancelled and bring in a team that can compete with those bald headed bastards

Well said, pedro, on the first part of your post.

LET ME SAY THIS AT THE OUTSET--
Our boys play no better or worse than their Euro counterparts.

I think the biggest lesson for Team U.S.A and for the fans
(although I don't think most of us want to admit this) is quite simple:

Team Europe plays better as a team than the U.S.,
and because the talent pool in Europe has now reached the level
of the U.S. players (and in some aspects, surpassed it)
this dynamic (better team play) plays out and definitively impacts the outcome.

Any educated person knows if this is true,
then one must chock it up to deep-rooted cultural norms--
European cooperation vs. U.S. individuality.

With all due respect, pedro (as regards your second thought),
that kind of thinking will get us nowhere at the Mosconi cup.
It's already proven itself because for Team U.S.A's. part,
no amount of "practicing harder" and/or "preparing/training more"
is going to combat any cultural underpinning.

Mark Jarvis, if you want players who actually think in terms of "team"
as do the Europeans, then you are going to have to go after some players
who have been acculturated to some degree outside the U.S.

Do we all believe that we cant win a race to 5!!!!! This is not the insane races to 100 that everybody on this form thinks you have win to prove your the best.

Its not even a Professional level race to 9 or 11, its a amateurish race to 5!!! Anybody can win a race to 5 against anybody, right? That's whats always stated, that the short race favors the weaker player..., so are the Europeans the weaker players or is the short race argument BS?
