Im gonna do this right before my first match at the next tournament or next time I get in action...
In all seriousness... this is good advice, back problems are a sonofa*****, especially for pool players.
Stretching before doing a short cardio warm up is a sure way to hurt yourself. Do ten minutes of cardio to get some blood running into your muscles and around your joints. Stretching without cardio is like taking a rubber band out of the freezer and stretching it. Your muscles can snap. Especially the lower back. Incorporate resistance training. It improves balance and is like money in the bank for overall fitness.

After the tournament is over, ask the first, second, and third place finishers if they, by chance, did any warm-up exercises before competition began. Or, if they do any exercising at all, for that matter.
You know what they'll say, don't you.![]()
