Okay, okay, you convinced me, I won't nick any of your stuff!
I have worn a gun for the last 32 years counting this one. It is like putting on one of my watches.
It becomes something you just do and you even construct some of your wardrobe around your gun.
Weather becomes a factor and so I carry a different gun in the hot weather than the late fall & winter.
The reason is because during the late Spring and summer, your wardrobe requirements change a lot.
Concealment becomes easier with certain type guns. Since there’s CA state mandated limit of 10 rds.,
there a large segment of handguns not eligible for purchase. So some guns you want can’t be acquired.
Now that I cannot carry into as many different locations as before the recent law change so my gun remains
In my lock box in my auto trunk a lot, lot more than before. So you revert to carrying other less lethal tools.
I didn’t mention pepper spray before but should have since I needed to carry it when you also carry a gun.
A baton because the strike is delivered quick & fast and can shatter a bone. A knife is always a must to have.
Since a bad guy could always have a knife and pull it, I prefer to be Crocodile Dundee like if I had to pull mine.
Here is something to keep in mind. You can never use deadly force to protect property but your person is legal.
Let them take your cues but if your fear for imminent grievous bodily harm to yourself or another person, well,
it is completely legal to let the chips fall where they may, especially if you attempted to use less lethal force.
It all hopefully is an academic exercise and so far, I have never been confronted with any threat of my cues being
stolen that hopefully never will happen. But I will admit that I do feel less secure when my gun is in my auto’s trunk.
