Experience with jump cues

I'm a C player; though I regularly practice more important drills, I've managed to become pretty good at jumping with a short cue. (This came about after acquiring a $100 crap table from Dick's, which warped within a week. The only thing I could use it for after that was folding laundry on it and riddling it with burn marks from jumping experiments). I'm equally as good with the dart and pend. techniques.

Anyway, I don't own a break cue. I'd like to see if I can jump more accurately with a full size cue, maybe a break cue. Do they make specific break-jump cues that DON'T break down, or do they just use a nice break cue for jumping?

Jumping DOES help me get shape on some shots, and is sometimes less risky than trying to kick, but a lot of tournements don't allow small jump cues. I'm tall enough to use full size ones anyway.

It depends on the break cue, some jump quite well, others don't, just like some normal cues jump well and others don't. Its really difficult to tell which ones jump well without actually trying them out, but I would recommend trying out one of the various jump break cues. Tournaments that don't allow short jump cues generally allow you to jump with a break/jump as long as you don't break it down.

I purchased a J/B from muellers and had a G10 installed and can jump most shots with a full cue.

I use a Lomax J/B and replaced the weight bolt with a super light one and its perfectly balanced for full-cue jumping yet still heavy enough to break with.
You could probably do this with pretty much any break cue with a solid shaft and hard tip.

I have a Hanshew and it breaks great jumps even better, He makes one helluva jump cue by itself. There is a world Champion that would still be using one if it wasn't for a contract. His Phone is 254-498-1941 Good Luck in your search.
