OK, so you all know the weather is crappy, but the Expo is filling up and everyone is having fun. After dropping my wife off at the door I went to park the car and a guy in front of me was having trouble parking, so I helped him out.....turns out to be Santos Sambajon!:)....I got the idea he never did much snow driving back home!;) After we got him parked I walked in and there was Jose Parica, so Jose and Santos were nice enough to take a picture with me. Then we chatted with Nick Varner and My wife got a picture with him.....He's way cool as well!

We got down there about noon and met up with some friends for lunch and drinks in Chumleys, a nice bar at the Hotel. Not 5 minutes later John Schmidt and Mika walked in and parked it next to us for lunch. My bud knows Mika so introductions all around, and John is one hell of a nice guy! We chatted about how the AZrs got together to get him to the Expo. Apparently Mika didn't know the deal and John explained it to him. My wife thinks he's cute:rolleyes:

Then we went down to check out the pit....which was jamming and action all over the place. Watched 2 unknown guys going 7 ahead 9ball for 5 skins for a while, then walked through the cue section again and talked to the guys at Carolina cues (very nice work!), High end cues (super collection! nice guys!) Met Cory Harper the Tiger booth....again way cool guy, down to earth.

My friend Jimmy stopped and talked to his bud Allen Hopkins to say hi and see how things are going. The weather didn't seem to bother him, and he said pool players WILL get there no matter what!....He's right.

Seemed to be much more in the way off vendors today, or they put up more stock? I'm not sure, but it's all there.

Walked by a million world beaters today like Rodney Morris, Corey D, Dennis Hatch...holy crap He's a big guy!, and my bud Jimmy introduced me to everyone.

So we were losing our buz and made our way back to Chumley for a beer or 10 and saw Tony Chohan who seemed happy, but I didn't talk to him. Rodney was having lunch after his match with John S.....which we were told Rodney won and it must have been quick because it was only 4:30 and the matches went off at 3:30?

We finished our beerss and made our way home.....no I don't drive drunk in the ice/snow!....I only had 1 Yeungling Lager. My wife on the other hand :)

We plan to head back down in the AM.....we were going to go watch Jimmys wife Kathleen play at 7 but the weather is nasty, and I'm staying put til the morning!....

I'll give anyone a ride down there if they shovel my driveway tomorrow!?:)

later....Gerry
