It's settled. Done with pool!!!
Just acquired a new critter for my new hobby, so this cue's gotta go:
CUE:
- 1993 Schon Cue (don't know the model number)
- 5/16x14 Steel Joint with the tell-tale 1993 Pin
- 4 points of Ebony into darker brown stained BEM with mahogany and black venners
- Notched ivory diamonds in each point
- Older black with light specs linen wrap (feels great, but it's old)
- Ebony sleeve with mahogany windows and notched ivory diamonds
- Silver/white dashed ringwork bordered by silver trim rings
- Weight is approx 15.25oz
SHAFTS:
- 2x OB Classics at standard dimensions with solid black collars
- One has some light blueing from play...the other is barely used at all
- 12.75mm on both, with Everest layered tips
- Each shaft weights at approx 4oz, each
Cue comes with a set of black plastic JPs.
The buttsection would be perfect with a refinish/rewrap. Both are original to the cue, I believe...and it's got a couple finish chips in it (nothing through to the wood), and it's lifting in a couple spots, and generally a little cloudy. That said, I've deducted the cost of a Scot Sherbine refinish from the price. I would say that a refinish would make this one of the nicer 1993 Schon examples I've seen. The linen is old, pressed, and feels great in your hand (IMO). Very sharp cue, and plays exceptionally well. All pieces are straight, sound, and solid.
This is the last pool-related item I have...and when it sells, I'm out. I've picked up a new hobby, and going to focus all my time (and cash) on that.
SOLD
It will take 8-10 days to arrive at a CONUS location from where I'm at...but I've shipped more than 20 things out of here without a problem.
