I bought this to collect it, but am giving it up as I cannot play due to health. This is not a cookie cutter McDermott. There was only a handful of these made using hand spliced blanks from the 80's. I paid 450.00, but am offering it for a quick sale as I have never done a raffle and really do not want to if I don't have to. Again my health is keeping me too busy to deal with a raffle but I will if it does not sell. This is still sealed and brand new. Again, this is a hand spliced 4 point. 12.5MM G-Core with total weight at 190z. Leather wrap and a lot of detail. If I have to open it to take more pics, I will but I probably will leave it sealed. I believe there were only 10 or 12 of these made. The Ebay seller out of Shaumburg IL. can give all the particulars, but basically he is friends with McDermott and they were going through the shop and he saw these blanks and the rest is history. I am selling it for 350.00, which is 100.00 less than I paid. If it does not sell I will raffle to break even. Price is shipped to lower 48. 15.00 extra to HI or AK. THANKS.
Here is the link to the seller I bought it from. There were I believe 10 4 point and 5 of the 6 point made. Here you can see the Pics out of the plastic and more info. about the cue.

Hand spliced 4 color veneers. Ebony, White, Green, Ebony. All the inlays in the butt section are awesome. Very nicely made and high quality points. G-Core shaft etc... If it does not sell at 350.00, it will be raffled or I will save it for my daughter. I am into this for 470.00 which was a good price when I bought it. Eating shipping and paypal fees, 350.00 is a crazy low price. A few more days and the tides will change and I will Keep it, Raffle it, or Store it. Tick-Tock. Please do not offer less than asking price. I no longer NEED to sell this. I cannot play due to health, I am merely trying to offer a very nice hand spliced McDermott to someone on the boards. I know I can Ebay it and get 350.00 but that is not my intention. Anyways, enough rambling. It is just disconcerting that while I love the game, I cannot play anymore. I recently gave the first Fender Strat I built to a kid that could not afford to buy 1 He went to the music shop to play the guitars there for hours at a time.He is only 15 and has a natural talent that has taken me years to get where he is at 3 years of playing. So I gave the shop owner my 1994 Candy apple Strat and told him not to tell the kid where it came from. The shop owner ended up giving him a nice practice amp, I mean this family is struggling bad. So at least this kid can continue his learning w/o so much stress. So anyways, that is where we are at with this cue. I am not giving it away but this will be pulled very soon. Thanks and have a good one.
Mike
