Difference in WIEGHT-Spotted vs Non Spotted!

CesarDaJr; Have you ever weighed the spotted balls to compare with the weight of the non spotted balls, I have, spotted are heavier, the difference is about 5grms per ball. Difficult to play with when NEW, and on NEW Simonis 300 Rapid.

I just had a conversation with my supplier and he told me that the material has changed at least for the spotted balls. Allegedly they last longer between cleanings. I don't know about the general weight difference but there's always a difference between balls unless you specify matched sets.

i myself have not check them, but i had one room owner tell me that the tournaments are heavier than the procup sets...
when i emailed aramith and asked them, they told me they are the same weight and at the last bca show i asked the aramith rep at his booth and he said they are the same.
i dont have a new set procups to compare with.

The 3 cushion NEW set of balls are all the same 200gr with 61.5mm.
If you had a set for a certain time (like a year or so) The balls loose weight due to the friction, And when they shrink the table will run slow ,because The balls are going under the rails.
According to ARAMITH,........

The world of billiards changes over time and, more significantly, since last year. The players are increasingly becoming more demanding about high-performances products. Now league players bring their own ball sets to play with a quality product instead of a lesser-maintained, lower-end set he may find on the table.
