This looks like an Instroke Premiere case which are vinyl cases, and very good vinyl at that. Are you saying this case is actually leather and not vinyl ?? Just asking, cause I was not aware they made any Premieres in leather.... but who knows.... i've been wrong before....

Some of the earliest Instrokes were made in this design and were actually leather. I have one that is a 2X4. Great case, and I never understood why they moved away from the zipper top. The latches have been their Achilles Tendon.

More info and pictures to follow.

When I bought this case years and years ago I was told the case was made when Instroke cases were made in Germany. The attached picture was one I found online and as I have been told is a Premier version which is not leather but vinyl.

I will verify that my case is indeed leather and also provide my own pictures of my actual case. I will also show the inside with a 59" cue with joint protectors to show how much additional room is available for the 60" plus cues. This is a very nice case which I have only ever used for cue storage. I am trying to thin my collection of cues and cases that I am not using thus the reason for selling.

Thanks

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Did you take the pics and verify it is leather, yet?

Thanks, Todd

I will take pictures today at lunchtime. I have looked at the case closely and can not tell for sure if it is leather or not. I know that the vinyl these days is real nice. Anyone know a way to tell the difference between leather and vinyl?

Thanks

Kevin

If its that close a call, probably any shoe repair store can make the evaluation.

Hold an open flame to it, if it melts, it's vinyl! (and now has a melted spot) When I used to travel to Shanghai a lot, thats the method they used in the traders markets with all the knock off purses and stuff.

I'm sure there are some safer tests...and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the high end vinyls could hold up to the flame as well.

If after the "feel" test and "sniff" test, and IF you still are not sure....it is probably not leather.... also, can you compare the grain of your case to the grain in your photo of the "premiere" case. The pattern is pretty consistent on the "premiere" vinyl cases....

Apparently the case in not leather like I was lead to believe many years ago.

That being said the price has been dropped to 110.00.

Thanks

Kevin
