I am not questioning your sale or trying to put any disparaging remarks on your description, but I was always under the impression that the "cat" logo was second edition for 314 shafts, and the plain "314" insignia was first edition. Someone in the know correct me if I am wrong?
No harm meant, and I wish you good luck with your sale.

Headmuses.

thanks for the correction. you might be right. i thought the 314 + the cat was first edition. should i fix it now or wait for a second opinion?

The shaft with the logo is a first generation 314 shaft. The version before the cat logo is also first generation, commonly called pre-cat. It is said that the wood used in the pre-cat shafts, 314 only since Z shafts didnt come out then, are of higher quality. Also, it is rumored (I have yet to verify), some pre-cat shafts also are filled with foam, and not hollowed out at the end.

The second shaft with the ringwork, how many splices does it have (10?), and is the ferrule the same soft material (isoplast) as the 314? If so, then its probably a customized 314 shaft made from a partial.

thanks hellfish. i believe the second is also a predator , i just cant verified it. i sell what i know not what i think.
