Fake? Any Bets?

Hmmmm. Sounds like McDaniel "Peacock" cue. If it's real, it should fetch no less than $2500. A $2500 cue, being sold by any knowledgeable seller would need a high-rez picture to be serious. It sounds like the description was lifted right out of a post here on AZB, selling a similar cue no more than a couple of months ago. Seller has "0" feedback....Hmmmmm.

I do hope the bidders are protecting themselves. This has "be skeptical" written all over it.

On second thought, it might be the member here trying again to sell it on ebay. It does has the hallmarks of a suspicious sale, though.

Well, that seller on AZ was from Singapore. The seller on ebay is from Mechanicsville, MD or so it says. :)

But why would a seller from Maryland have his auction end at 4 in the morning his time.

asked for pictures...still waiting. also asked if i could pick it up or have a friend pick it up and pay him cash...let's see what he says.......mike

The text of the eBay ad is identical to Scorpion's description. One, the other, or both are fake. This is not a common cue, and most are made with cocobolo, IIRC. Purpleheart narrows the sellers down quickly.

i believe that scorpion here on the forum is a legit person.. and i think people have vouged for him on the forum.. i do not personally know him but i think people have bought from him here in the past..

When the auction started, I asked him if he would COD because of his lack of feedback. He never responded...it's fake for sure.
