Fake Meucci on ebay beware

That cue sure does look rough.

Meucci always put his name on his sticks right? What tipped you off? J/W

Look at the points and the designs, I am not a Meucci fan, but at least they used real V-spliced points and inlays. Look at the ones in that cue, they are either decals or painted on, I am not certain of which.

Well the fact that the decal is rubbed off in spots would tell me its not a meucci, but also, the seller does not say it is a meucci so there is no wrong doing here.
Craigs a good guy and just looking out for thoughs of us who may not catch it and think were getting a great deal.

Give the seller a little credit here for posting some pictures that make it easy to see its not a meucci.

Nate.

Nate I do not think the seller even knows what the cue resembles. Like I said above, I also do not think the seller is dishonest in anyway. Like the seller said Vintage cue for sale and that is what it is.

However, it certainly is not a Meucci!!

Thanks Nate!!!!

Yep I see what you mean now. Thanks!

The cue is not listed as a Meucci although it is obviously supposed to be a road agent.

The only thing that is misleading about the listing is, he left the word "junk" off of it.

A fake Meucci? Come on! That's like counterfeiting a dollar bill isn't it?
I was thinking the same thing. I could care less either way. Bob himself couldn't pay me money out of his own pocket to play with a meucci. How do we know for sure it not a very early road agent? Let's face it meucci isn't exactly known for there fit and finish.

Also I seem to remember some of them rose cues to be hand painted.

Ps I love the slip on tip. Very strong. I bet it plays a ton

Looks like a old city lights cue.

It preceeded the road agent cue. Early 80's. It could have been made by Bob's son in law or even Bob.
Nick :)

Nick the points and the inlays are decals or paint look at the photo's.. While many do not like Meucci cues, Bob never did this. In addition this is not the only copy I have seen that was a import from China, I have seen other models also, and I have had them in my hands. The weight bolts are not Meucci, and the quality is worst than the worst cue Meucci has ever made.

I garranty they were made in China. Chinese cues have been using the same style weight bolts for many years. I think these cues were made during the 80's.

John Barton may some idea who could have made them, John is certainly an expert on Chinese products, I may have to ask him.

I have a real one if any one needs pictures. :-p And quit being mean to Bob. He's a super nice guy and has some great cues.

The cue was painted. It's Not My first time seeing this, I saw a knock-off Gambler last year. When I realized there was no logo, the guy freaked.

No one is being mean to Bob meucci, the cue in question is a fake not a Meucci. I am certain he would like to know who is making them himself!

have a good day!!!
