Fake Szam or a Diamond in the Rough

With all the conflict that had occured over apost in the Wanted For Sale forum, I figured you may want to see a fake Szamboti I purchased in the early 90's. First, let me make it clear, that when I purchased the cue I knew that it was not a Gus Szamboti. I liked the quality and visual aspects of the cue, and oh course the hit was amazing. My thoughts were the cue was a very nice custom cue with 3 ivory ferruled shafts. What would I be willing to pay to have the cue made? So, I made a counter offer which he argued but finally accepted. Did I make a bad financial decision? I let you guys be the judge of that. I am sure some of you will recognize the splice of the cue. I will add some more pics later. Off to play pool.

i thought this story sounded familiar.

heres 6 more burt blanks from around 94.

after thinking some more your cue is one of the first 4 blanks from burt , my first purchase was 2 shorties and 2 full..... so this is one of the first 2 full splice blanks.

while digging in old pics i found your cue being tested:D

I'm digging those Cadillacs. Straight out of "The Color of Money". Did you scratch the paint?

Hay Riki!

Can't believe I missed this post. I wounder if you bought this cue when you had your poolhall in the Atl. Any way I know it is not in your nature to make money on cues. I am like that too. If you get tierd of looking at and need to make room for more of Danny's cues I could force my self to let it collect dust under my 4 1/2 x 9!
Call ya soon!
Nick :)

Does it have the "microengraving" on the end of the pin? You almost have to use a loupe to see it sometimes.
