I gave him every chance to do right. I mean $100 isn't asking much, when I will be picking up the remainder. To downplay the problem , then outright deny it is just bad tactics on his part. If you know anything about me, when I am mistreated you gain my full attention.

I would never have even "outed" him here except that he now is sitting back "calling my bluff". I don't sit idly by and get taken advantage of, so now the Paypal claim and my statements here.

If he wants this to go away he will accept my return or send me $100 ASAP. I won't be left holding the bag.

My customers always have the opportunity to return cues within 72 hours. Read my itraders. I describe any and all flaws, photographing them and getting repair quotes. Mostly I get them redone and sell the cue in better than new condition, it's just easier in the long run, plus they will sell for more.

What a tragedy, as far as picture goes, the prices seem around the right price. Comes down to having faith, in the seller. Around here, you just don't know these days.

Jemerson, Thanks for getting it. No big deal really, just a matter of basic buying and selling principles. Not everybody gets it, especially once your money is in their hands.

BTW I just love your photo of the girl on the table. They are fabulous....and yes they are real!

Not acceptable selling behavior here. I specifically asked if the McDaniel ring at the butt were raised, as McDaniel cues are very prone to this flaw over time. In fact 3 of the 4 McDaniel cues I've purchased in the past 6 weeks had this issue. When asked directly about the ring the seller said it was slightly raised, but not through the finish. The cue arrived with the ring through the finish, with the clear coat cracked around the entire circumference of the cue. A $150-300 repair.

Originally I asked the seller to contribute $100 towards the repair. He refused and now is stonewalling me. I filed a claim with Paypal since he now is refusing the return.

He has some nice cues, I'd buy nothing from him unless it were via escrow. That was my error, buyer beware.

WOW .. that's more expensive than repairing the dings on my bimmer. . . ,maybe you should change the cue refinish-er. . Proficient charges 85 bucks for a refinish. . . including the SHAFT...:grin-square:

Any chance of posting pictures of the ring through the cracked clear coat? ? ? ? ?:confused:

Retracted, Q slave and I are working towards a resolution, this should all work out by Wednesday. I will say he still has some beautiful cues available at very good prices. We have both made this harder that it's needed to be, for that I apologize.

I just now read thru these posts from the last week or so. I didn't see the msgs before they were redacted but I have a good idea of what they said:>
He took the cue to a cuemaker that I know and trust and he said that the ring really was raised and causing damage to the finish. This had to have happened during shipping because I would have noticed. I don't know how or if this happens alot but I know that when I shipped it the ring was only slightly raised and it wasn't affecting the finish. I gave him the refund he was asking for.
This was frustrating for both of us but I believe Brian is an honest guy and I'm glad we worked everything out.
I guess this goes to show that it pays to use escrow even with 2 honest parties.

I like this kind words after doing business. There are always one or more solutions for problems. Thank you both guys, it realy helped me to make my decision to buy a cue from Greg.

Sascha bought my ironwood PFD. I took alot of emails to get this done since he is in Germany and we actually had 2 intermediarys. The cue is currently on the 2nd leg of a 4 part jouney:>

I'm probably going to post another ad soon for my remaining cues but I currently have the Skip Weston, Runde and the McWorter for sale. I've had some interest in the Weston and Runde. I'm really not sure what to ask for the McWorter. What are they going for these days. I paid $4200 for it if I remember.

Bump for a great seller with some terrific cues

Greg, you should start a new thread listing the cues, asking prices, descriptions and picture posted on the thread. I would think alot of potential buyers are going to need all of that in one place. The cues you have should be easy sellers really, good luck.
