Jac van de Ven, the always friendly friend and nice colleague, left us too young. On the night of February 20, Jac fell asleep at the age of sixty. He was unable to win the fight against a serious illness.
Jac, a real billiard fan in particular the arbitration that was literally made for him. The arbitrator who, despite his imposing body, stood out for not being noticed, always the peace itself. More than twenty-five years, arbitration was his passion. From 2000 he trained many new arbitrators as a teacher, assessed upcoming arbitrators and was an expert and fair examiner.
In 2005 Jac successfully completed the National Arbitrator course. How proud Jac was when in 2015 he received the well-deserved arbitrator batch CEB (Confederation European Billiard) during the final of the Coupe d 'Europe Classic teams.
Together with Marri four trips were made to Brandenburg ad Havel in Germany for the European championships. Jac thought it was fantastic to be able to arbitrate for the European billiards in the beautiful arena. The couple, accompanied by colleagues and partners, enjoyed the trips to Berlin and pleasant dinners afterwards.
The combination of the sporty with trips to the Dieze in 's-Hertogenbosch and mini-golf with the players, arbiters and employees made the European ladies cups unforgettable.
Always together, Jac and Marri, they were welcome guests everywhere, such as in Kwadendamme and in Zundert. With 's Lands Welvaren and previously Wellse vaert, he arbitrated top team for more than ten years. Naturally Jac was also active in his own region, such as arbitrator coordinator, chairman of billiard circle Waspik and billiard club KOT in Waspik. In his own hometown 's Gravenmoer, secretary of billiard club "de cold tap".
Jac and Marri had a special nice feeling for the artistic championships. While Jac showed his qualities at the table, Marri made trips with the ladies of his colleagues. They enjoyed many billiards weekends together, often spending the night in a nice B&B or hotel. Jac always made room for the Mart van der Heijden National arbitrators tournament.
The friendly, friendly Brabantian Jac van de Ven will remain in lasting memory with fellow arbitrators, players and partners. In their beloved favorite pub 't Vaartje, Marri and family say goodbye to Jac.

The news of the passing of beloved arbitrator Jac van de Ven has led to much sadness, and reports of compassion from billiards and billiards enthusiasts.
