I'm having my table recovered and wondering what was a fair price.
THANKS for any help!

Mantis,

Ps. I'm supplying the cloth.

What size table?

Is it a full sized or a bar table? My brother got his recovered for $180, cloth
included. I have heard of prices up to $300 for a bar table. About $150 for a bar table is a good price since you are supplying the cloth. About $200-220 for a full sized is a good price. Make sure it is someone that
KNOWS what they are doing.

Thanks.

I meant to say its a 9ft. Im being quoted $175. Just wanted to see if thats fair.

Thanks,

Mantis

FAIR (F-A-I-R). And Webster's Dictionaries are on sale at K-Mart for 2.99.

It depends on where you live and how many self employed mechanics vs. dealers you have to choose from. 175$-300$ for labor is what you should expect to pay.

What kind of cloth are you getting? If your using a company which is also a table store it might be best to just go through them. Since they buy in bulk and can cut you a better deal on the cloth.

Or are you buying "Used" cloth from say a buddy? If so you have to remember that your rails need to be done and the pre-cut used cloth will not cover the rails too.

4 x 8 tables

We have 4 tables at our place. Generally, we will pay between $135 to $165 for the felt and labor per table -- all done at the same time every year.

However, if your having one (1) table done and it's a 9 footer with say standard "Championship or Forstmann" cloth or the like (not Simoniz) I would think you should expect to pay $175 to $200.

This should cover all the costs with redoing the table except rails, pocket items or any significant repairs to the overall table.

Getting new felt is AWESOME!!!

Good luck,

Ken ;)
