Fargo rated tournaments.

Tonight I played in my first Fargo reporting tournament and I realize that 200 games are needed to establish a true rating.
My question is this - can I still play in Fargo sanctioned tournaments even though I am at beginner rating?
I don't shoot league anymore but plan to start shooting in a Friday night tournament that reports to Fargo rating.

Yes. Absolutely.

Contact Fargo and ask them to put you in the system. They’ll give you an arbitrary starter rating and you’ll be off to the races.

Talk with the tournament director, especially if it's a handicapped tournament. Fargo's 525 starter means half the players in their system are above, and half below. If you have handicap ratings in other systems, then this comparison chart Dr. Dave may be helpful.
