Fargo Ratings and table size

An APA 5 is not a 550, they're closer to 400-450 at best.

A 550 rated player should have ok cue ball control at that level but their win percentage would drop considerably on a 9' if they normally play on a 7'.
Yes
And there is no rating for the ins and outs of gambling, grinding out for hours and experience of bringing out your best game when it's on the line.
Playing for patches and 5inch trophies will not get players there.

Exactly right. I think all it is intended to do is provide the most reliable answer available to the question: "which player is likely to win this match, and by how much".

Which is a beautiful thing.
Ah, but it doesn't. Like I stated, fargorate can easily be manipulated by throwing matches. Trust me, I know. My "A-game" is over twice as good as my "B-game". I use fargorate to hustle because so many of Page's followers think it's the holy grail of pool rankings lol. I LOVE FARGORATE!
Look folks, the only true ranking of anyone compared to anyone is how well they match up against each other 1 v 1 for huge cash, playing in any particular game. All the other stats and data, well, are just stats and data. I can sit in the shadows and watch a guy play for 30 minutes and give you a better ranking than fargo can lol. Thank you Mike for coming up with this ranking btw. It's made my job even easier:cool:

We have a real badass here, thanks for gracing us with your presence!

Yeah I was trying to figure out the math. B game 500 FR, A game 1000 FR. real badass! :)
100 points in fargo equates to "twice as good". So a fargo 650 should beat a fargo 550 by a factor of 2, according to Mr. Page. And it's this lack of understanding the differences in fargoratings by most people that actually helps me hustle too lol. True 650s are wayyyyyy better than 550s lol.

Just bustin your balls my man. Hopefully we’ll be able to match up sometime. My b game is twice as good as my a games. Lol

Against who?

Against the same person, I bet it’s the same. As I understand it, that’s the point…

So what would be the correct Fargo for Corey?
Dont know....saying the ratings are suspect.

Still have Dechaine rated like a world champion and he's selling windows full time. It's neither accurate or up to date.

So playing tournaments is as hard (I think much harder) than gambling. In tournaments you have to travel, pay for hotel (sometimes), pay for an entry fee and not loose out of the gate. And then grind for a day or two to cash

It doesn't get any harder than that.

Rating someone a 550 or 575 is as relevant as APA 4 or 5....versus a player, it doesn't matter.

Very very few suceed at tournament pool. Just the nature of any competition that pays the bulk of money to the top 3 spots.

People who know pool, know who's the favorite...long before Fargo.

Ever play $500 a set for 12 hours?
( Being serious here)

And Mr. Page, (if you're following this thread) the biggest problem with fargorate isn't with the data, it's with the presentation of the data. Your rating system (the actual fargorate number) confuses the heck out of most your target audience. People like simple math. And if I had a dollar for everyone who thought a player with say, a 50-point higher fargo difference, was only a "little" better player lol... Your rating presentation needs to be modified so that a 600 is actually twice as good as a 300, etc..., because there's no point in presenting your data if it isn't easy for the average "bar player" to differentiate the ratings. And that, my friend, is the biggest problem with fargorates.

And I'm not talking with a backer's money!
Never had one
Ok man. You are the best for the cash. We get it! And Fargo is for suckers and chumps... Got it! And all players that play on the bar table need the six out on the big table. Got it! 😂

This little Diddy is for you
