i got the cue yesterday but i haven't had a chance to hit a ball with it yet. first off the cue is balanced exactly how i like my cues to be balanced. with the shaft attached the balance point is 18" from the bumper.

i'm pretty sure the cue is actually 1 piece of curly maple.

the shafts wood looks really cool (i'm not a cue maker so take that with a grain of salt)

imo the finish could be a little thicker because the different woods can be felt through the finish. it's not major though you have to really be feeling for it to notice it.

the shaft taper feels extremely comfortable. i'll put it through it's paces later on today and get back to everyone

PS on a side note the case that JB donated for this is really cool! it's it seems to hold the cue's (i threw one of my cues in with the crown cue) really snug!

here're some cue specs for anyone that's interested in that type of stuff. for anyone that doesn't know me that well i have basic specs (weight, balance point, joint size) written down in a book of just about every cue i've ever owned

balance point 18"
joint diameter .857"
handle area (where the wrap would be)
1.058" above wrap
1.222" below wrap
imo it feels thicker like a production joss

i was going to list the butt and shaft weight too but my scale just broke on me
