Stop with the teasing Outsville! Please tell us when this is going to be released! The white chalk sounds like a brilliant idea, maybe put up a pre-order page once you are close to production.

Shooting for a presale end of next week. I should have enough information to establish pricing by then...

With the suggestions on darkening the colors and shrinking the font some I stuck the labels on hold while I make some changes... I was considering having custom tape ran instead of labels and I think I can get it in the straight tear version which would work the same as perforations and it is a slick finish so it should not fade with use.....

Whatever you decide on, please test and make sure it doesn't come off on the hands if wet, sweating, or normal handling. I've been using Predator (heavy dark ink used on wrapper fades onto hand over time), but am anxiously awaiting this chalk being made available so I can try it. The lack of ink fading onto hand is a top priority beyond the chalk itself. Design on the wrapper is cool and all, but not a selling point for me personally. Functionality is way more important. :D

Put a rack of balls in his mouth.
It says this chalk is so good it's eats the balls alive.,
Maybe a cue stick hanging out his mouth like a cigar, sign of confidence, security, control.
Subliminal ads work, and I am sure the chalk is great.

I agree with the notion of "too much gray / wishy-washy color"; the fact that the chalk itself is white -- white is a key color component of gray itself -- doesn't help.

However, most of a great white shark's body *is* gray, not white. So the color scheme in place does match that of the great white shark on the label.

The label doesn't "pop" as I'm sure Chris wanted, so a more bold color would fix that. The problem is, which color? Black would do, but with black being the other color component of gray, it would make the white chalk itself stand out even more -- the eyes would be pulled to the white chalk instead of the label.

I'm thinking blue would be a good color for the label. Blue as in the ocean, which you find sharks, and it would also match the blue in a lot of tournament cloths.

An expert on this subject that Chris might want to consult would be Mark Kendall, guitarist of Great White, and also a great player and reader here ("markgw" here on AZB). I'm sure he's got an opinion on this topic. ;)

Go to our website officialgreatwhite.com or Great White (Band) Facebook page there might be some images of our backdrop which has a shark playing a guitar. If you took that idea and instead of a guitar insert a pool cue and use it for ad mats for your new product:)

any possibility of using a plastic coated paper that won't wear as do the others?
+1 on that one. The best wrap I've seen so far (on any chalk cheaper than Kamui) is that of Balabushka Performance. It is kinda plastic paper mentioned and is much more durable than just paper wraps that tend to dissolve in sweaty hands.

Everyone picks on me about my glove and extension and Earl weights…alright so no Earl weights, but I would be against a cartoony logo. I'm still gonna buy the chalk, I mean I already look like a tool.

I really like the idea of chalk not staining my shaft and I'm looking forward to trying it. I'd like to see some good packaging for storage and carrying in the case
