Is there any alternative to video or companion feedback that is when practicing alone?

There are a number of shots you can set up for a basic assessment.

I'n my case I like to warm up with straight in shots , eventually adding length and then draw stroke to them. Shows me pretty quickly how straight or not I'm stroking.

Just one example if that helps.

try shooting with only your break cue

another good way is to look at where
your tip ends up after each shot.

In pool school, we first teach students how to have a consistant, repeatable stroke. Once they understand what is supposed to happen with the stroke, we give them several ways of evaluating each stroke, simply by freezing for a minute and observing where their grip hand and the tip of the cue finished.

I was told that my break was at the center of the CB when I thought I was low right. I could freeze & not folow through?
