Engles cases
Hi Eddie,
I have an Engles case. They're actually a nice case that you'd have a tough time telling apart from a Fellini, except for the fact that they are made out of a butyrate plastic (the shell underneath the leather) instead of PVC like Fellini and Centennials. The butyrate has a little odor to it. You might have caught a whiff of this plastic on cheap tool handles or on plastic screws. It seems to dissipate a little over time, but is still noticeable. I have the embossed leather covering and I wanted to buy one of the exotic (python) models, so I asked the guy I bought it from if the higher end ones had the butyrate shell smell. He never called me back, so I assume the answer was "yes". The other difference is that they have a latch like George cases instead of the Fellini type. All in all, not a bad case, though.
Regards,
Steve
