Sarah,
Do you play one pocket? I've lived throughout the Northeastern/Mid-Atlantic states, and one thing that I've noticed is that I've come across very few female one pocket players, and absolutely no women who would say that one pocket is their favorite/primary game. In fact, the only female pro I've ever seen or heard of gambling at the game is Vivian Villareal (who plays it very well). In New York City, there are six or seven women I know who play regularly in WPBA tour events, and if I were to ask any of them to play cheap one pocket, they would look at me as if I were speaking in a foreign language.
I've never played in the midwest or west, so I have a limited frame of reference, but do you know why more women don't prefer to play one pocket over 9-ball (as many of the men do)?
