Ferrule materials and descriptions

I've always pretty much grouped ferrule materials into two groups. Ivory, and non ivory. As far as the non ivory group, I've really never been all that aware of the many options and their differences so I was wondering if one or more of the cue makers could post a brief run down on the differences (weights, and other characteristics) among the non ivory ferrule materials.
LBM
Phenolic
Melamine
Ageis
Micarta
Ivorx
Ivorine

And any others that I haven't listed.
Thanks,
dave

LBM

LBM is a linen fabric impregnated with the thermoset plastic melamine.

Phenolic is a generic term meaning paper, cloth, etc impregnated with a resin. Most of the ferrules on your list are phenolic.

See above.

Linen based. Don't know the resin that is used.

Brand name of International Paper. Very generic term because IP made many variations. Today people use the term micarta mainly for white paper based ferrules.
