Ferrule problem / choices

I have several partial hairline cracks in my ferrule, doesn’t seem to effect my game much , should I wait for a greater failure or replace it now?
What material should I request for replacement, melamine,elforyn,phenolic ? It’s a Samsara that I don’t brake with.

Replace it ASAP. Ask your repair person what your options are and what they recommend.

short ferrules crack easily.......... I use Juma ............ very few problems

I would confirm they’re in fact hairline cracks first. The number of people who have come to me with a ‘cracked’ ferrule that’s actually just a weird scratch is absurd. I’d say I’m out $2000+ from not doing ferrule replacements just because I cleaned the ferrule first.

Before you replace a ferrule make sure that they are in fact cracks and not just scratches. Sometimes it is extremely difficult to tell the difference.
