Linen based melamime for me. Of course its hard to find anymore. Like Mason Houghlands Micarta ferrules, hit very nicely. Aegis tends to be pitted anymore, at least the ones I have are pitted. Ivory stays nice and clean, but not my favorite.
There are two combinations I like depending on the rest of the cue. I like Aegis with a med. Moori and I also like ivory with a tip pad and a soft Moori. This is 100% personal preference everyone has their own taste in hits.
