Fiber tip pads...or not?

I used to be on the road a lot. Used an Ivory ferrule for quite a few years...the only problem I had was when I was in a drastic change of climates I noticed a big difference in the "HIT". I now use a plastic ferrule (I still travel a lot, especially overseas where there is not much A/C ) and now prefer the plastic.
If I stayed in one place, I might try ivory again...just to see how it holds up.

Kokopuffs, that's what i meant, the flat face. i would not use the tool you refered to.

It's not good enough for me. Ferrules "MUST" be flat and square.

Get someone who has a lathe to face it for you. best I can offer, sir.

no need to mess it up, or take a chance on messing it up.
