I don’t think it’s a matter of secrecy but a matter of circumstance.

Filipinos have found the sport of billiards as a means to provide, to eat, to live.

Jose Parica and Efren Reyes inspired their fellow countrymen when they emerged onto the pool scene and started bringing home money.

So let’s look at the facts…

The Philippines is a 3rd world country.
Billiards serves as means to an end.
Jose Parica and Efren Reyes inspired the country and put the Philippines on the map.

With those facts alone, how do you not expect Filipinos not to get inspired?

An AZ Billiard member wrote on one of your previous threads saying, “There’s no secret, just hard work, dedication and practice.”
