America has as much naturally talented players or even much more. America even has the advantage when it comes to the nutritional needs availability for players unlike in this poverty stricken country (Philippnes). The big difference is geographical. The United States is 20+ times bigger in land area than the Philippines so the pool talent is spread out and can't hardly hone their skills against other top ranked players. Unlike here in the Philippines, the center of pool action is concntrated on just a few poolhalls in Manila. Players from outside Manila come and stay in Manila if they feel that they're good enough and dream to someday make it big in the sport. Manila is unique in this respect because even in another country that isn't that much bigger than the Philippines, Japan, the pool centers are spread out to other pool centers ie Tokyo, Yokohama and Osaka.
Sport interest to cuts a bigger slice of the pie to pool here in the Philippines. There are only 3 major sports that garner huge following here namely basketball, Pool and boxing unlike in the USA there're football, baseball, basketball, hockey, golf, boxing, NASCAR, wrestling, motocross/motoGP, surfing, sailing, X-games?......most of which are not affordable to majority of the Filipinos or Filipinos just don't care for or get excited by.
