as far as the first 2 matches in the 3rd round for now and basing only on the available scores. All 9 out of 9 have won their initial matches. Only Alex Pagulayan has suffered a loss so far in the 2nd match but only at the hands of another Filipino, Bustamante.

Archer has lost 2 out of 2 matches while Deuel and Morris lost their first games too.
 
Efren's on cruise control, while Django is playing like a man on a mission.
Wouldn't it be fitting if they'll have their World Cup Of Pool reunion in the
finals? That would be a classic!!!

That is why I said earlier on another thread that we should not count the Filipinos out yet. They had a relatively bad day yesterday but they are certainly looking good today!!! I would not be surprised at all if 6 to 8 of them make it to the next round.

Seven Filipinos made it through the next round.
They lost 2 (Gallego and Luat) along the way, but that's still look
pretty dominant to me. And Django is smokin'!
 
will we see a repeat of the last tournament where they were well represented up to the last 6? a finals match between efren and django would be mind-blowing! hopefuly bustamante wins that one if ever....in sure efren wouldn't mind losing to his friend.

alcano's in deeper trouble....still have yet to win a match. parica's still struggling. wouldn't it be great to see a parica-reyes showdown in the finals? then we'll see sparks fly.....
 
I just can't believe that old timer Efren. He's like the gate keeper to who ever wants the championship.

Not looking good for the restof the Filipinos. Busta is faltering. Orcollo has a very low GW%.

My pick still for the finals is Morris. I think Alex is a goner, so Efren is my next choice. But I think it's going to be Ortmann.
