Finally going to try a hard tip

I have really been wanting to try a hard tip for a long time but have been scared to try it due to the fact that cue repair in my area is scarce. Anyways since I'm working in Savannah I figured that I would give Mr Josey a call to see if he would do a retipping for me next week. "No problem, " he says. So I order another G2 from an A++ seller, Mr Rain-Man and he shipped same day-(of course.) Since the sneaky has only one shaft I think I will get a second shaft for the G2 hard while I'm there. Do you think the transition from the medium to hard will be tough?

I suspect you'll initially shoot better with the hard tip. Therefore you'll say you prefer a hard tip.

But if your experience with new gear is anything like mine, the feeling will be temporary. I think we concentrate more when using new equipment...and that results in better play. Then we revert to our casual play and we're in the same place we were before.

Gear sellers rely on this phenomenon. Keeps us coming back for more :D

I much prefer a hard tip. I've used a break tip on my playing cue for the past year before moving onto the kamui black hard.

You may love it, you may hate it. Each to their own.

Those Kamuis seemed to have a little too much bite.. or maybe I just don't know what I'm doing. :o I've always prefered playing with a hard tip. Could have something to do with not wanting to shape my tip all of the time, plus I use it for breaking.

I've been using G2H tips on two shafts for a couple of months. I got mine from Rain-Man and I agree that he has been great to work with. I liked the G2H immediately, but my initial impressions were more like Medium-Hard. But after a couple of months of play, the tip feels more like a Hard tip. Initially, I really liked the tip, but I like it even more as it aged. I cannot say it is like other Hard tips, but I still like it.
