Fingertip bridge

I seem to shoot better when I use a fingertip bridge. I can't figure out why though. Can anyone here tell me why this bridge helps me make more balls than a standard bridge? I think it either has something to do with getting my body in the right position or viewing the shot from above and then sliding down into shooting position. Or maybe I'm just missing something from my shot routine when I use a normal bridge.

i do the same

i do the same thing, for me its cause it puts me center on the cb with proper angle in my cue:p :p :p

C. J. Whiley says that too

I remember C. J. Whiley mentioned that, and it was exactly
what you said. It allows you to keep the bridge hand almost
the same when getting down into the stance. He also
mentioned that if you are already used to putting the heel of
the bridge hand down firmly, you might want to stay with that.

I'm too tall to be able to just set (bend) down in the line of the
shot. I have to move my feet apart a little, and chose to stay
with the solidity I get with the heel of my bridge hand planted.

I shot with the finger tip style bridge though for many years,
but my stance was a lot different, less comfortable, and less
balanced back then.

I would suggest trying it though if you don't, and see if it
helps your accuracy.

I use this bridge, it helps me aim from above the shot. I have been playing with this same bridge, but planting my palm it seems to throw my shot off.
