Learning the hard way
This is only my second fully complete cue. It is BEM with a purpleheart cored and sectioned Amboyna handle with a BEM section in the middle of the handle. The shaft is old growth maple. Notice the 2 "eyes" in the shaft. Not sure how I feel about the eyes on the shaft. Thanks for looking



 
Nice work. I've always wanted a cue with eyes, mine are getting old!

Took it out and played with it last night. Plays great. I didn't notice it until other people were looking at it, but the top of the forearm has matching eyes. Kinda neat.

 
You'll have to keep an eye out to find another cue like that.

In all seriousness, looks like some good work. Don't worry about the eyes, some of the best playing shafts I've ever had were uglier than home made soap.
 
Thanks. Ya, the eyes don't seem to bother me while I shoot and I guess if it ever gets stolen, it will be easy to identify.
