I'm having trouble figuring out what i should sell them for. I don't want to charge to much because i do want them to sell, but i also don't want to sell myself short.
Any idea what you would pay for a cue like any of the three i've shown.
Thanks,
Owen
Hard to say. For a brand new cuemaker, I'd have some people hit with them and see if they like them. I would think 300 for the plain one for a new cue maker might be a place to start. I think if you get known more you could get around 500-600 for a plain one. Probably not for your first one tho. I would be willing to sell a little cheaper at first to get them in the hands of players to get feedback and get known.
Also, if you are really serious about cuemaking I would read everything I could about how Ben Hogan started his golf equipment company. If your name is on the product you could learn a lot from how he did business. And that means if you sell an early cue and its not good you make the guy a new one for nothing when you are more experienced. If the finish is bad they get a new cue if necessary, not just a refinish, etc.... Make the cues exactly how you want and to your standards. If you don't have a strong idea about what a cue should be and how it should play..... FWIW.
PS. I almost forgot to mention, that is very good work for a first one I think
