First DigiBalls are in

I received the first two fully functional DigiBalls manufactured with the standard phenolic process. Perfectly round, regulation weight, and balanced as designed. They work perfectly. Each ball has a single black spot which is the charging location, and is placed face down on this spot when charging. It reminds me of a bumper pool ball, or an eye ball

Thank you to everyone who has supported me this far, and for the non-supporter’s comical feedback. This project has been very challenging. The next step is making more, group testing, expensive FCC stuff, and launching.

Heck, I’m even getting excited that a second wave is coming after DigiBall.

Am I the only one that noticed, albeit rather belatedly since I only discovered
this thread existed today, that Nate has a Shot Clock Display in the works?

DigiBall is like seeing Star Wars when it first was released. Will space exploration
lead to that future world? I dunno but it made millions of people curious & wonder.

I imagine eventually linking AI to where you can summon analytical information and
display it in different formats. Gosh, you may be able to ask for data via questions.

The future is wondrous and I won’t live long enough to see it all come to fruition. But
I see this as a portal that’s going to elevate pool instruction to the same degree as golf
and baseball with analytical and high speed video that was never anticipated for pool.

Get on board folks because the future has arrived and you can’t change it, delay it,
or defeat it but why would anyone want to. This is like tomorrow arrived today…..Wow.

So when I saw that Nate had a shot clock display under development, I got excited. Why?
I’ll finally get my biggest gripe about addressed. Rest assured, I’ll get one for playing matches.

i just hope it is digital, large enough to be easily seen, countdown display & audible warnings.
Slow play is so annoying and a lot of players don’t realize it applies to them but they’d deny it.

I don’t know what Nate’s developing, what stage he’s at or if I am missing the mark and he has
something different in mind. It just happens to be something that I’d like to become a standard.

But could it survive 110 mph plus exit speeds and the bat collision causing enormous compression resulting from getting barreled. One 400’ home run swing would shatter it to pieces or at least scramble the internal electronics. Baseball already has the equivalent and far much better for hitting and fielding.

Baseball and golf are so highly analyzed already that it would serve little purpose.

My son lives in San Diego and was fitted for a full set of clubs (14) at the Taylor Made factory in Carlsbad where all the top name equipment brands are located. I gifted him a full set of Shafowfall irons, Qi4D driver, 3 wood, hybrid, Volkey wedges and putter. It was done over 3 days because it otherwise would have been exhausting with hundreds of swings required. The fitting took 6 hrs….. 3 sessions 2 hrs ea. (driver & woods, irons, wedges/putter).

The information gathered and used was mind boggling and high speeds video was so revealing and informative. Unimaginable analytical details are revealed about your swing and equipment dynamics.

I can’t imagine Digiball revealing one iota of data not already captured and displayed with re-enactment and actual high speed video. Keep in mind I am a proponent of Digiball from its inception.

It’s just that there are some things it cannot compete with and baseball, tennis, golf instruction are so much more advanced than Digiball that’s not here yet but hopefully soon.
