I'm not a mechanic, I just help friends recovering their home tables ... I got away a couple of years without needing to glue down cloth. Typical recover is I put Sterretts to the slates, stretch, staple, make pretty pockets and square it up. Friends were happy and I was happy that they were happy. Life is good. Then I ran into a Bristol II and needed to reuse cloth. The good news ... using the 3M10 instead of '77 we got and extra 1" and 2" stretch.
