First season playing 9 ball in league

Boasting on your blog about controlling your handicap wouldnt be the best idea in the world, especially if someone NOT on your team saw it and forwarded it to the APA or your local league. They'd probably kick you out of the APA forever for sandbagging, which going by your blog you cant deny.

Just a suggestion.

imo that league sucks if you are any good at all u will be a 9 and usless to your team:sorry: just my experience

This is my first season playing 9 ball in the APA. I have always played 8 ball. Does anybody have some good advice? http://runthetable.blogspot.com

My advice?

1) Work on your break! (Joe Tuckers Racking Secrets would be a good investment). The better you play the more critical making a ball on the break will become but even for lower skls making a ball on the break will be huge.

2) Learn to kick. The APA does not allow jump cues in regular league play and does not allow a push out in 9-ball league.

3) Learn to win each rack even if it means sacrificing a ball or two here and there. (Just like playing straight pool)

Hope that helps. Have fun and don't worry about your handicap. The higher your number the more games we get for our money! LOL
