Last year I interviewed Ann Gore and during the course of the interview she mentioned that she was still in possession of the very first tooled Fellini case. As she made it and kept it.. I was able to acquire it recently and here are some pics.... There is an LOA from Ann for the case.

I was about to purchase a Python Fellini once for a few hundred and a case maker at the show convinced the people it was worth a few thousand, so they backed out of the deal. A few hundred would have been a really good deal, but a few thousand was crazy. They went from seller to collector instantly on bad pricing counsel. They were convinced it was almost one of a kind. But it wasn't. But as for this tooled case, It being documented as the first tooled case does make it really rare. That is a very nice find.

Outside (uneducated) influence has ruined many a deal I was making. Usually it is if "Classiccues" says yes to a price it's worth more lol... which I think is why 99.9% of sellers ask me to give them a number. The reason I bought this case was because it is documented as to what it is, by the person who made it.

The condition looks amazing. Very cool case. It seems like every year that goes by, fewer and fewer Fillinis are coming up for sale. Everyone must be hoarding them.
