I have a pig-skin leather wrap on my cue and there's a quarter-inch cut on it and the loose "skin" is hanging out a little bit. Is it safe just to glue it and what kind of a glue should I use ? Need to use some special leather-glue or will a regular glue or super-glue do just fine ?

I would suggest that you use some contact cement. Just apply a little on both the leather and the handle wood, let it dry for 5 minutes or so and then press (massage) it into place. Wrap a wide rubber band around it with a little pressure to held it in place and leave it there for a few hours.

If it needs it use a little shoe polish to finish it.

It should be fine.

Good Cuemaking,

i have a similar cut, but it doesn't go through to the wood, it's really shallow. is there anything i can apply to keep it from getting worse?

That is a tough one without seeing it. You can try some of the contact cement to stabilize it and then some shoe polish.

You have nothing to lose.

I agree. That should do the trick. It may not make it invisible, but it will lay down and not progress.
