Fixing a slightly split rail

on an old Brunswick Heritage thats oh idont know from mid 70's what would be the best way to fix a rail that has split where the pocket iron goes in the hole???? the crack is making the pocket sag a bit

what kind of resin or glue would be best???

Without seeing, I'd say two-part epoxy. I repaired a foosball table that was missing a major chunk with epoxy and fiber filler.

yea i wish i could have a photo for you all....but even that wouldnt do much good as the table is not apart at the moment...in a few months it will get reclothed and was wondering the best way to fix this..
