Here is how I build all my shafts. If you like the feeling of solid maple shafts and the performance of LD shafts you'll enjoy playing with the shafts I build. They have a cf tube glued inside (4,5" long) 9 mm od / 8 mm id. The ferrule is made out of tomahawk which is also pretty light. This kind of construction gives a solid hit and feeling of the shot while the deflection is pretty low
