Demosthenes Pulpul continues his winning ways after beating reigning US Open Women’s Champion 9-Ball champion Kelly Fisher of the United States, 9-2, to post his fourth straight wins in the on-going Philippine Open Pool Championship on Saturday at the SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. The 2008 World Ten Ball Semi-finalist Pulpul, playing under the banner of Cebuano sportsman-businessman Paul Monera of Magi Group and MPC trading, earlier brought downed Mario Tolentino, 9-4, in the featured third round match on Friday. Also unbeaten were Lui Hui of Chinese-Taipei, who beat Rudi Susanto of Indonesia, 9-5, Radoslaw Babica of Poland, who clobbered Marcus Chamat of Sweden, 9-2, and Ricky Yang of Indonesia, who dealt Chang Pei-Wei of Chinese-Taipei, 9-6.

De Luna who won his first two matches bowed to Chang (2-9) in the third round but won all his match in the losers’ bracket that includes current WPA World No. 1and 8-Ball champion Ralf Souquet of Germany (9-3), Oscar Dominguez of Mexico (9-4), Rudi Susanto of Indonesia (9-4) and Radoslaw Babica of Poland (9-5).
